TOMB RAIDER FORUMS CELEBRATES 25 YEAR MILESTONE

Tomb Raider Forums officially marked its 25th anniversary online on 6th June 2025, reaffirming its place as one of the longest-standing online communities dedicated to Lara Croft and the Tomb Raider franchise. Since its inception, the forum has grown to host over 8.4 million posts and more than 64,000 registered members, serving as a vital gathering place for fans across generations and continents.

Launched on 6th June 2000, the forum began life on Ultimate Bulletin Board Classic, a Perl-based platform developed by InfoPop. In December 2005, it transitioned to vBulletin, developed by Jelsoft Enterprises. A significant upgrade to vBulletin 6 is currently in development, aimed at modernising the platform while preserving its core features and familiar layout.

As an ad-free, non-commercial, and not-for-profit space, Tomb Raider Forums has remained committed to encouraging open discussion and the free exchange of ideas. Privately maintained, the forum offers a straightforward and respectful environment where fans can explore every aspect of the franchise, from its classic roots to modern reimaginings.

Long-established forums like this one serve an essential cultural role in digital fan communities. They offer a sense of continuity, historical record, and depth of conversation that is often lacking in more transient social media spaces. Over a quarter of a century, Tomb Raider Forums has not only chronicled the evolution of the Tomb Raider series but also created lasting bonds among its global user base.
