TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATED TO MASTODON 4.3.8

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon 4.3.8. The update includes an important security enhancement with updated dependencies and a check for account, profile, and media URLs. It also introduces built-in context for interaction policies, streamlining how these policies are managed. A notable change has been made to error handling for activity distribution, where retries are now skipped for deleted accounts, preventing unnecessary attempts.

Furthermore, Mastodon has resolved several issues, including a bug where unauthenticated API requests were incorrectly redirected in limited federation mode, and another where the sign-up email confirmation page would reload incorrectly during errors or redirects. Lastly, a double-query for signed query strings has been removed to optimise performance.

Tomb Raider Social is powered by Mastodon, a decentralised social media platform that operates on an open-source model, allowing users to create and manage their own servers, or "instances," with varying rules and themes. Unlike traditional platforms, Mastodon emphasises user control, privacy, and community governance, offering chronological, ad-free, and non-algorithmic user feeds.
