EPIC GAMES ANNOUNCES STATE OF UNREAL AT GDC 2024

Epic Games has announced State of Unreal will commence on 20th of March to 22nd of March at GDC 2024. Unreal Engine 5 is the vehicle of choice for the next Tomb Raider title being developed by Crystal Dynamics. There has been no official word from the studio on GDC 2024 attendance at time of publication however the developers previously used Unreal Fest to discuss the move to Unreal Engine 5.

Embracer Group and Amazon Games have an agreement under which Crystal Dynamics will develop a new multi-platform Tomb Raider title powered by Unreal Engine 5, with Amazon Games providing full support and publishing the game globally. The as-yet-untitled new Tomb Raider game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft's story in the Tomb Raider series.
