TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPGRADED TO MASTODON 4.6.0 WITH NEW FEATURES
[ 18 June 2026 ]
Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon version 4.6.0. The release introduces new features, customisation options, and a range of fixes and performance improvements. Chief among the new features are Collections, which allow users to create and share curated sets of profiles. Inclusion in collections is controlled by a user preference, and users who opt in are notified when they are added and may remove themselves at any time. Each collection is limited to 25 profiles, and there is no option to follow all profiles within a collection. Collections can be shared via links and are accessible from a user's profile under a 'Featured' tab. Changes to collection titles or descriptions trigger notifications to included profiles.
The release includes updates to profile presentation and editing. Profile pages have been reorganised to reduce the number of steps required to access posts, boosts, replies, and featured hashtags, with these options applied consistently across profiles. Profile editing can now be completed directly from the profile page using an editing mode, including cropping tools for profile and header images. Support has been added for alternative text for profile and header images. Additional controls allow users to disable the media tab or restrict it to media from posts only, and to hide the featured tab if required.
Further changes include an opt-in option for email subscription to posts for anonymous visitors, subject to server configuration and role permissions where enabled by administrators. A landing page variant has been introduced for servers where a trending view is not used, showing server information and recent local posts. The year-in-review feature, referred to as Wrapstodon, is available to server administrators with an opt-in sharing option. The release also includes accessibility changes covering keyboard navigation, focus behaviour, contrast, and screen reader interaction.
