Flying Wild Hog, in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, has released a special artwork to mark the birthday of Lara Croft, the central character of the Tomb Raider franchise. The release coincides with Valentine's Day, highlighting the cultural significance of Croft beyond the confines of the franchise and emphasising the continued engagement of fans worldwide.

The studio accompanied the release with the following statement on X: "Today might be Valentine's Day, but for Tomb Raider fans, it's something even more iconic. Today we celebrate the birthday of Lara Croft, a character who redefined action games, inspired generations of players, and set the standard for what a true gaming icon looks like. That's why being part of the Tomb Raider universe means so much to us, Hogs. Happy Birthday, Lara. Still iconic. Still unstoppable."

The artwork and statement emphasise Croft's enduring significance to both the franchise and the wider gaming community. Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, currently in active development using Unreal Engine 5, continues to position Croft at the centre of the series, forming part of the broader Tomb Raider 30 initiative marking the franchise's 30th anniversary.
