ALIX WILTON REGAN'S THREE-YEAR PATH TO BECOMING ADVENTURER LARA CROFT

Alix Wilton Regan has described her casting as the voice of Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider Catalyst as the fulfilment of a long-held ambition, revealing that she has been working towards the announcement for the past three years. She expressed profound admiration for Lara Croft as a cultural icon and for the Tomb Raider franchise as a whole, stating that the role represents a personal dream come true.

"I have been working towards these announcements for the last three years, and yet I still don't have the words to convey my depth of feeling for our beloved cultural icon Lara Croft or the astoundingly high regard in which I hold the entirety of the Tomb Raider franchise. This truly is my dream come true," Wilton Regan posted on Instagram.

"Lara is everything to me - as she is to so many of us. She floors me. She humbles me. She moves and motivates me with her courage, her wit, her strength and her brilliance. The ineffable Lara inspires me, just as I hope we will you all with these upcoming games."

"Welcome everyone, old and new, to this next era of Tomb Raider. It is a privilege beyond words or compare to be your Lara. With love and thanks to everyone who made this adventure of mine possible - you know who you are and I am so hugely grateful."

Wilton Regan's portrayal seeks to enhance Lara's presence as both an iconic adventurer and a modernised protagonist, grounding the character in stories that merge archaeological mystery with contemporary tension. Developed using Unreal Engine 5, Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider Catalyst are scheduled for release in 2026 and 2027, respectively, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
