TOMB RAIDER FEATURED IN EMBRACER GROUP'S IP-FOCUSED STRATEGY IN Q2 REPORT

Embracer Group has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening profitability through a renewed focus on its core intellectual properties during its Q2 interim report presentation. Among the 32 titles currently announced under its various studios, the next Tomb Raider instalment has been singled out as a cornerstone of the company's evolving strategy. The game, developed by Crystal Dynamics, represents a key component in Embracer's broader transition towards an IP-driven model that seeks to consolidate the group's creative and commercial strengths across its global portfolio.

Group Chief Executive Phil Rogers noted that the quarter's performance 'was in line with our moderate expectations', while reiterating that the group's full-year outlook 'remains intact'. Rogers emphasised three ongoing priorities, investment in major franchises, operational discipline, and targeted cost management, as central to sustaining long-term growth. He added that Coffee Stain Group's forthcoming Capital Markets Event in December will mark an important step in its planned spin-off, underscoring Embracer's continued reshaping into a more streamlined and strategically aligned organisation.

Crystal Dynamics, a studio within the Embracer Group, is currently developing the next Tomb Raider instalment using Unreal Engine 5, with Amazon Games serving as the global publishing partner. The forthcoming, as yet untitled, game will deliver a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues the journey of Lara Croft.
