PRODUCTION WEEKLY LISTS TOMB RAIDER ON UPCOMING SLATE

Tomb Raider has appeared in Production Weekly issue #1457, published on 11 June 2025 -- a possible indication that filming for Amazon's highly anticipated live-action TV series may be set to commence soon. Production Weekly is known for 'providing professionals working in the film and television industries with the most comprehensive production resource available.'

Crystal Dynamics first announced in May 2024 that Lara Croft would be heading to Amazon Prime Video in a new Tomb Raider live-action series, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge attached as writer and executive producer. According to IMDb, the role of British archaeologist Lara Croft will be played by Sophie Turner. Jenny Robins, Michael L. Goldberg, Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Scheel and Timothy I. Stevenson are also listed as executive producers.

Originally developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive in 1996, Tomb Raider introduced the world to Lara Croft, launching a franchise that has since grown to include eleven mainline video games, numerous spin-offs, films starring Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, and a wide array of merchandise.

Tomb Raider Live Action Series
