PHIL ROGERS APPOINTED CEO OF EMBRACER, SUCCEEDING LARS WINGEFORS

Embracer Group AB has announced that Phil Rogers will assume the role of CEO effective 1 August 2025, succeeding co-founder Lars Wingefors. Rogers, currently Deputy CEO of Embracer and CEO of the operative group Crystal Dynamics - Eidos, takes on the role as the company enters a new phase of its ongoing transformation process.
Lars Wingefors has been proposed for appointment as Executive Chair of the Board at Embracer's Annual General Meeting on 18 September 2025. The current Chair of the Board, Kicki Wallje-Lund, is proposed to become Deputy Chair. Wingefors will step down from the Executive Management Team on 1 August 2025 but will remain an ordinary Board Member until the AGM.
In his forthcoming role as Executive Chair, Wingefors will focus on capital allocation, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic direction. Reflecting on the transition, he expressed gratitude for his time as CEO and confidence in Rogers, stating: "I look forward to a continued close collaboration to further strengthen the business and drive value in the coming years."
Embracer Group has completed the spin-off of Asmodee and is now focused on the upcoming spin-off of Coffee Stain Group, which is expected to be completed no later than the end of the 2025 calendar year, as well as the rebranding of Embracer Group to Fellowship Entertainment, which will include Crystal Dynamics - Eidos.
