LARA CROFT HISTORICALLY 'WRITTEN BY MEN' SAYS ANIME SHOWRUNNER

Tasha Huo has told IGN that the character of Lara Croft was historically 'written by men, so she has been kind of this cold figure' during an interview about Tomb Raider The Legend of Lara Croft, yet the first three Tomb Raider video-games were written by Vicky Arnold and Hope Caton and Andrew Sandham joined forces for Tomb Raider The Last Revelation.

"I think it was fun to be able to have one scene where she does an incredible feat of strength or agility or what have you - the Lara thing - and then another scene where she's hugging a friend and is emotional with them. I think that's something we definitely wanted to explore in terms of Lara's womanhood. Because historically she's been written by men, so she has been kind of this cold figure, and I know she's not like that. So that was the exciting part to see sort of behind the veil of how she is in her everyday life." Tasha Huo tells IGN.

Tomb Raider, starring British archaeologist Lara Croft, was originally developed by Derbyshire-based studio Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive on 24th of October, 1996. Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III was written by Vicky Arnold and Hope Caton and Andrew Sandham joined forces for Tomb Raider The Last Revelation.
