Embracer Group, owners of 132 internal game development studios including Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal, has acquired Captured Dimensions, a Texas-based technology company specialising in 3D capture, scanning, and reconstruction services, through Gearbox Entertainment Company, the latter has announced.

"A ten-year veteran of the film and video game industry, Captured Dimensions has worked on some of the most recognisable movies from the likes of 20th Century FOX, Lionsgate, Sony Pictures, Netflix and several titles from both 2K Games and Electronic Arts. Jordan Williams will continue as its head and report directly to Randy Pitchford, president and founder of Gearbox Entertainment."
