Speaking at the U.S. premier of Warner Bros Pictures' Terminator Salvation, producer Dan Lin has revealed a few pearls on a third Tomb Raider motion picture, but this time it appears without Academy Award winning actress Angelina Jolie.

"We're rebooting Lara Croft as well.", says Dan Lin when quizzed on future movie sequels. "Really excited - it's a great origin story that we're going to tell. A very character-oriented I would say more realistic than the past Lara Croft movies."

When asked on whether Jolie would reprise her role as buxom adventurer Lara Croft, Lin replied: "It is an origin story so it is a younger Lara Croft." No further casting details were revealed.

Originally touted as a trilogy by director Simon West, Ian Livingstone hinted at a continuation of the saga back in 2006. Since then, despite a few rumours surfacing, there's been nothing substantial confirmed until now.
