Tennessee-born actress Megan Fox has been widely tipped to replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft in the upcoming Tomb Raider motion picture, according to numerous sources on the Internet. The film is expected to be spearheaded by U.S. media group Warner Bros.

The previous two Tomb Raider films have grossed more than $450m (£262m, E383m) at the box office and are based on the video game of the same name. Chris Barrie has also registered his support to resume his role as Lara's fumbling butler Hillary.

During a 2006 interview, Ian Livingstone told Eurogamer a script writer had been secured, although added: "that's nowhere near the green-light process."
