MASTODON 4.7.4 BRINGS SECURITY AND TIMELINE FIXES TO TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL
[ 1 November 2026 ]
Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon 4.7.4, introducing security changes, improvements to timeline performance and fixes to account activity and content sharing between servers. The release addresses ActivityPub identifier verification, introduces an additional security check for accounts returning after extended inactivity and updates several software dependencies to address reported vulnerabilities.
Security changes include corrected ActivityPub identifier verification and a security challenge email for users attempting to log in after prolonged inactivity. The release also updates dependencies to address security advisories affecting Ruby, Node.js, excon, css_parser, pghero and sanitize.
Timeline fixes address inefficient hashtag queries and post deliveries, alongside an issue where timeline filtering could incorrectly exclude followers-only posts from accounts the user does not follow. The update also corrects an issue where the removal of items from local collections was not properly communicated to other servers.
A separate fix resolves errors in a development tool used to populate installations with sample data.
Tomb Raider Social is a decentralised, open-source social networking platform powered by Mastodon. It provides a space for Tomb Raider content creators, fans and community members to connect, share content and discuss the series. Posts are presented through chronological timelines rather than algorithmically curated feeds, and the platform does not display advertising.
