MASTODON 4.7.3 BRINGS ACCOUNT AND INTERFACE FIXES TO TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL
[ 6 October 2026 ]
Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon 4.7.3, bringing security-related dependency updates alongside changes to account deletion, registration, moderation and the user interface. The release addresses account data removal, registration errors, moderation permissions and several display and posting issues, while also updating software dependencies associated with a thread leak and an occasional installation error.
Several account-related issues have been addressed. Reported statuses, avatar and header descriptions, featured collection entries and preview card records are now removed when an account is deleted, while accounts deleted because of suspension are no longer incorrectly marked as manually deleted. The update also fixes a server error caused by an incorrect date of birth during registration, normalises submitted email addresses when applying rate limits and prevents the account creation API endpoint from remaining accessible when SSO account sign-up is enabled. Moderation permissions have also been corrected to prevent moderators from issuing warnings to moderators in higher positions.
Interface and posting fixes address inconsistent horizontal padding between profiles and the profile editor, overflowing description text on the Overview landing page, mobile navigation obscuring the "Next step" button during onboarding, picture-in-picture video positioning, reply ordering and missing confirmation when leaving with an unsent post. The release also fixes an issue where the quotes disclaimer could disappear from posts without a quote, corrects spacing around custom email footer text and improves error handling for malformed WebFinger subjects. An AWS SDK S3 dependency update addresses a thread leak, while Yarn has been updated to version 4.18.1 to resolve an occasional installation-time error.
Tomb Raider Social is a decentralised, open-source social networking platform powered by Mastodon. It provides a space for Tomb Raider content creators, fans and community members to connect, share content and discuss the series. Posts are presented through chronological timelines rather than algorithmically curated feeds, and the platform does not display advertising.
