TOMB RAIDER I-III REMASTERED CHALLENGE MODE PATCH 4 PATCH NOTES

Aspyr has released Challenge Mode Patch 4 for Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, addressing gameplay, graphics, progression and localisation issues. The update includes fixes across several levels and is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PC, iOS and Android.

According to the patch notes, the update fixes access to the sixth secret in Lud's Gate and resolves an issue with collecting a crystal in Diving Area that could prevent players from unlocking the "Crystals Are Forever" achievement.

Several problems affecting Aldwych have also been corrected. These include map rendering and progression issues, along with access to the fifth secret when playing Challenge Mode.

Other gameplay fixes address movement being blocked at the edge of ramps in certain locations and a gap between an aeroplane and a tree that could prevent Lara from moving through the affected area. Patch 4 also restores missing instructions in Lara's Home and corrects the animation and visual effects associated with gun turrets.

Localisation changes include corrections to Polish translations and missing text, as well as fixes for translations relating to the Brightness setting and outfit descriptions.

Patch 4 also includes a series of fixes for the iOS and Android versions. These address text and image display issues, weapon and walking behaviour, Save Crystal healing in New Game Plus and the alignment of Antarctica level images in the Select Chapter menu.

Additional Android fixes address a cutscene and controller input issue after minimising the game, frame-rate drops in The Great Wall and reduced frame rates in the settings menu.

On iOS, the update fixes an intro cinematic freeze when locking and unlocking a device, an issue preventing the "Nightmare in Vegas" achievement from being unlocked, health bar display problems, touch-control joystick sensitivity and missing tutorial voiceover in Lara's Home.

Nintendo Switch 2 also receives a fix for an issue that caused the inventory to reopen after using a Medi Pack.

Tomb Raider I-III Remastered is based on the original Tomb Raider titles created by Core Design and was released in February 2024. The remastered collection, developed by Saber Interactive and Aspyr Media, includes all expansions and secret levels from the original games.

The collection also includes Challenge Mode, which allows players to replay levels with customised modifiers and complete challenges to unlock ten additional outfits for Lara Croft.
