TOMB RAIDER LEGACY OF ATLANTIS GETS NEW TRAILER AT NINTENDO DIRECT

Nintendo Direct has delivered a new look at Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, showcasing a brand-new trailer for Lara Croft's reimagined adventure. The upcoming action-adventure title is set to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on 12 February, 2027, bringing the iconic archaeologist's original journey to Nintendo's latest hardware.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis will revisit Lara Croft's search for the lost secrets of Atlantis, with changes to the original game's environments, puzzles, traversal and combat systems.

The game retains locations associated with the original adventure, including Peru, Greece, Egypt and an island linked to Atlantis. Players will explore these areas for artefacts and hidden areas while completing environmental puzzles and navigating hazards.

Lara's movement options include climbing, jumping and swinging with a grappling hook. Combat will feature her dual pistols alongside additional weapons that can be unlocked. Enemies will include wildlife, mercenaries and mythological creatures. The encounter with a T-Rex will also return in a revised form.

The story has been expanded to establish further links between this adventure and later events in Lara Croft's history. Existing puzzles will return with altered mechanics, while the game will also introduce new content.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is intended as a new version of the original Tomb Raider adventure, combining elements of its story and locations with revised gameplay systems and presentation.
