TOMB RAIDER VIDEO GAMES EXCEED 52 MILLION DOWNLOADS ON ANDROID
[ 1 September 2026 ]
Tomb Raider and Lara Croft video games currently available on Google Play have recorded at least 52.25 million downloads between them, according to installation figures published on the Android store. The total is based on the minimum download thresholds displayed by Google Play for six releases: Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Tomb Raider Reloaded, Lara Croft GO and Lara Croft Relic Run.
Google Play reports downloads in ranges rather than providing exact figures. A listing showing 1 million or more downloads, for example, confirms that the game has passed one million installations but does not disclose its precise total.
Lara Croft Relic Run accounts for most of the combined figure, having passed 50 million downloads on Android. The free-to-play runner was originally released in 2015 and places Lara Croft in levels where the player runs through environments, avoids obstacles, collects relics and fights enemies. Its Google Play listing is currently maintained by Deca Games.
Lara Croft GO has passed one million downloads. The turn-based puzzle game was released in 2015 and uses a grid-based movement system in which players navigate levels, avoid hazards and solve environmental puzzles. The current Android version contains more than 115 puzzles across seven chapters.
Tomb Raider Reloaded has also passed one million downloads. Released globally in 2023, the free-to-play game uses an arcade-style format in which Lara moves through a series of areas containing enemies, traps and puzzles. Its design and characters draw on elements of the earlier Tomb Raider games.
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light has passed 100,000 downloads on Google Play. The Android version is based on the 2010 game and was released by Feral Interactive. It combines combat, platforming and environmental puzzles and supports both single-player and two-player co-operative play. The first two levels can be played without payment, with the remainder of the game available through an in-app purchase.
Tomb Raider I-III Remastered has passed 100,000 downloads. Published on Android by Aspyr, the collection contains remastered versions of the first three Tomb Raider games together with their associated expansion content. Google Play results previously recorded the title at 50,000 or more downloads, with the current listing showing that it has since moved into the 100,000-plus category.
Tomb Raider, the Android version of the 2013 series reboot, has passed 50,000 downloads. Feral Interactive released the Android version in 2026. The game follows Lara Croft after she is shipwrecked on the island of Yamatai and combines exploration, combat, platforming and environmental puzzles. The Android release includes 12 downloadable content packs and an additional Challenge Tomb.
The figures should not be interpreted as exact lifetime downloads. Google Play publicly displays thresholds such as 50,000+, 100,000+, one million+ and 50 million+, meaning the actual number of Android installations across these games is higher than the minimum total reported above.
At the time of publication, Apple does not publicly display download totals for games listed on the App Store, so equivalent iOS figures are not available.
