TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL RECEIVES MASTODON 4.6.1 AND 4.6.2 UPDATES

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon versions 4.6.1 and 4.6.2. The platform is a decentralised, open-source social networking system where individual servers manage their own moderation policies and communities. Fans of the Tomb Raider series can connect, share content, and take part in community discussions. Users interact through chronological timelines without algorithmically curated feeds or advertising.

Version 4.6.1 updates project dependencies, adds support for the 'avatar_description' and 'header_description' fields to the '/api/v1/accounts/update_credentials' endpoint from Mastodon API version 11, and includes a range of bug fixes across the web interface and backend.

The update resolves issues affecting combobox behaviour, emoji database handling, media navigation in right-to-left languages, account collections, LDAP logins, display name length validation, advanced interface layouts, profile field display, and key fetching for remote accounts.

Version 4.6.2 is a security update that replaces the FFmpeg version used in the container image to address CVE-2026-8461, which is classified as a critical severity vulnerability.
