BLAZE SELECTS TOMB RAIDER AS EVERCADE'S STAND-OUT CARTRIDGE OF 2024

Andrew Byatt, CEO and founder of Blaze Entertainment, has selected Tomb Raider Collection 1 as the stand-out cartridge for 2024 as Evercade marks its sixth anniversary. Tomb Raider Collection 1 and 2 include Tomb Raider I-V, available on the Evercade platform in their original 32-bit console format.

"You could not turn a corner in the UK in the 1990s without something with Lara Croft being there. The newsagents' magazine racks, from gaming to fashion and lifestyle publications. Energy drink sponsorship, and, of course, the games themselves. Tomb Raider, and Lara Croft in particular, was a cultural icon," says Andrew Byatt in a blog post on the official Evercade website.

"The first games defined gaming for so many. It is many people's first experience of a game that changed everything for them. Bringing it to Evercade with Tomb Raider Collection 1 almost felt like bringing it home, to somewhere it belongs, and celebrates the classic '90s gaming experience," Byatt concludes.

Tomb Raider Collection 1 and Tomb Raider Collection 2 contribute to the preservation of video game heritage by bringing titles from the fifth console generation to the Evercade. The releases expand the library of classic games available on Evercade systems and continue Blaze Entertainment's focus on physical retro game releases.
