CRYSTAL DYNAMICS TO ATTEND STATE OF UNREAL 2025
[ 27 May 2025 ]
At Unreal Fest 2025, Alyssa Reuter, Technical Art Director at Crystal Dynamics, will lead a focused session titled 'Technical Artist's Guide to Profiling in Unreal Engine' as part of State of Unreal on 5 June from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM ET in South Session Room 5. The talk will explore essential Unreal Engine tools and custom workflows Crystal Dynamics has developed to diagnose and optimise in-game frame rate and memory issues efficiently.
In this session, Alyssa Reuter of Crystal Dynamics covers helpful out-of-the-box tools in Unreal Engine for diagnosing performance issues, engine modifications that Crystal Dynamics created to work more efficiently, and tools and pipelines the team made to quickly translate data into actionable recommendations. In addition, the session discusses common patterns to look for in profiles and how technical art can act on them.
Crystal Dynamics is currently working on a new multi-platform Tomb Raider game powered by Unreal Engine 5, fully supported and globally published by Amazon Game Studios. This as-yet-untitled game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft's story in the Tomb Raider series.
