TOMB RAIDER TABLETOP RPG FULLY FUNDED IN 18 MINUTES

Tomb Raider: The Crypt of Chronos, a new tabletop role-playing game based on the Tomb Raider franchise, reached its Kickstarter funding goal in just 18 minutes. Developed by Iconiq Studios, the game aims to recreate the experience of a new Tomb Raider adventure in a tabletop format. The studio plans to release regular updates over the coming weeks, including details on game mechanics, add-on packs, content creator features, development insights, and forthcoming stretch goals.

Set on the island of Kairos, Tomb Raider: The Crypt of Chronos follows Lara Croft as she searches for the Chronos Artefact, a relic said to control time. The game combines exploration, survival, and strategic planning, with players using six unique dice to navigate levels, gather resources, and face challenges such as traps and enemies. Each die can be used only once per round, encouraging thoughtful decision-making.

Combat and crafting are central to gameplay, with players constructing weapons, gear, and abilities to help Lara confront threats from mercenaries and creatures. While weapons offer effective means of dealing with enemies, they also risk drawing unwanted attention. Players can also create special dice and abilities to enhance their survival chances. The threat of rival faction Natla Tech and high-stakes boss encounters further increase the game's intensity.

Players can choose between two gameplay modes: a narrative-driven Adventure Book Mode for shorter sessions, or the Island Campaign Mode for a longer, open-ended experience. For further information, visit the official Tomb Raider: The Crypt of Chronos website.
