TOMB RAIDER IV-VI REMASTERED DELUXE EDITION ANNOUNCED
[ 20 May 2025 ]
The Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Deluxe Edition has been announced, joining the previously revealed Collector's Edition and Standard Edition, giving fans two premium physical options to experience Lara Croft's classic adventures. The Deluxe Edition will be available on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.
The Deluxe Edition includes a physical copy of the game housed in a specially designed Deluxe Edition box. It also comes with the official soundtrack on CD, offering a curated selection of music from the trilogy. Fans will receive a collectable steelbook featuring artwork inspired by the remastered titles, along with an exploration map book that serves as a visual companion to key locations and secrets across the three games. This edition is tailored for players who want a premium presentation with curated content, without the added memorabilia of the Collector's Edition.
The Collector's Edition, meanwhile, caters to long-time fans and collectors with a broader assortment of items. It includes an iconic trapezoid-shaped box reminiscent of the original Tomb Raider packaging. Inside, buyers will find a set of lithographs featuring the mysterious Obscura Paintings, as well as a selected soundtrack highlighting memorable musical themes. The edition also includes enamel pins representing the Amulet of Horus and the Iris -- two key artefacts from the series -- and a metal keyring modelled after Lara Croft's iconic dual pistols.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered was released digitally in February 2025, bringing together Tomb Raider The Last Revelation, Tomb Raider Chronicles, and Tomb Raider The Angel of Darkness with modern enhancements. The remastered trilogy features improved visuals across environments, character models, and artefacts, while retaining the spirit of the original games. Players can toggle between classic and modern graphics on the fly, allowing them to relive the experience as it once was or enjoy it with updated visual fidelity.
The remasters also introduce several quality-of-life improvements. Boss encounters now feature health bars, and players can earn trophies and achievements as they progress. Control options have been expanded, giving players the choice between modern controls inspired by later titles in the series, or the original tank-style scheme for a more authentic retro feel.
