TOMB RAIDER IV-VI REMASTERED SCORES FLYBY CAMERA MAKER
[ 28 January 2025 ]
The official PlayStation blog has published an article exploring several features coming to Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered to enhance the iconic adventures of Lara Croft, including Flyby Camera Maker, Ammo Counter, Cutscene Skip, Photo Mode, and a slew of new animations. These updates aim to offer both long-time fans and newcomers a fresh way to experience the beloved series.
One of the standout features is the return of Photo Mode, which expands on the previous trilogy's offering. Players can now capture every iconic moment with new poses, weapons, and customisable options, ensuring they have even more ways to immortalise Lara's adventures. In addition, the Flyby Camera Maker introduces a groundbreaking tool that allows players to create dynamic, cinematic shots by placing up to 20 cameras along a path. This feature offers endless creative possibilities for players, giving them the chance to fine-tune camera angles, movement speed, and other settings to craft their perfect scene.
To enhance the gameplay experience, an Ammo Counter has been added. This sleek on-screen display shows how much ammunition remains for each weapon, ensuring players can manage their resources efficiently, especially during intense moments like boss fights. Additionally, Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered introduces a Cutscene Skipper, allowing players to skip repetitive cutscenes if they wish, while still offering the option to revisit them for those who enjoy the story's depth.
The remastered collection also includes new animations that bring fresh movement mechanics to Lara Croft's already agile gameplay. Features like the ability to slide after reaching the end of a slope and new ledge-hanging options further enhance the fluidity of Lara's movements, providing a more immersive experience.
Finally, for nostalgic fans, classic cheat codes make a return. These include old favourites like infinite ammunition and level skips, allowing players to relive the iconic tricks from the original games.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is developed by Saber Interactive and Aspyr Media and will release on 14 February 2025 on all major platforms.
