CRYSTAL DYNAMICS RELEASES LARA CROFT AND JACQUELINE NATLA CHARACTER PROFILES

Crystal Dynamics has released two new character biographies introducing Lara Croft and Jacqueline Natla, the principal characters in Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis, an upcoming reimagining of the original Tomb Raider and the 2007 remake, Tomb Raider Anniversary.
According to the biographies, Lara Croft is the axis around which so many other Raiders turn. She stands alone, answering to no master, no creed, no history but the one she writes herself. Her reputation among Collectors is the gold standard. Among Raiders, a legend of course, but also a mirror. To admire her is to confront one's own limits. To resent her is to acknowledge them.
Under strengths, the bio lists unrivalled mastery of body and mind; a seeker in the purest sense. Truth is her compass. Under liabilities, trusts slowly, reluctantly, and sometimes not at all. She will chase a secret even into ruin.
Jacqueline Natla, according to the second biography published, is a titan of industry. Her facade marks a deeper truth. She is sharper and infinitely more dangerous than she pretends to be. There is something calculated in her methods, something predatory. She manipulates events and situations, bending them towards some vision only she can see.
Her reputation among Collectors is untouchable. Among Raiders, a cautionary tale. The bio lists her strengths as a visionary strategist, possessing relentless, almost inhuman resolve. Among her liabilities: hubris in its purest form; her ambition devours allies as quickly as enemies.
Flying Wild Hog is developing Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics. The game reimagines the events of the original Tomb Raider, created by Core Design, and Tomb Raider Anniversary, following Lara Croft as she races to recover the scattered pieces of the ancient Scion artefact.
Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis launches for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on 12 February 2027 in Standard, Deluxe and Collector's editions, with the latter two including 48 hours of early access.
