[ 24 July 2026 ]
Amazon Game Studios has reportedly delayed Tomb Raider Catalyst until 2028, according to comments made by Amazon Games boss, Jeffrey Gattis, during an interview with The Game Business on the topic of Amazon's cloud streaming service, Luna, coming to Prime Video.
"We have obviously announced the two Tomb Raider titles. Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis comes 12 February, next year, and then we'll follow on in 2028 with the next one. We're excited about those," Jeffrey Gattis said while responding to questions about investment levels between AAA and indie titles.
Tomb Raider Catalyst, originally planned for release in 2027, is positioned as the next mainline instalment and follows the character Lara Croft in a narrative set in Northern India. Built using Unreal Engine 5, the title is scheduled for release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC platforms.
