REMASTERING TOMB RAIDER ABOUT 'ADDITIONS, NOT REVISIONS'

Aspyr Media says remastering the Tomb Raider series is about 'additions, not revisions' and that they set out to 'amplify the immersive atmosphere that Core Design originally envisioned' while taking advantage of modern technology. The comments were made during an interview with Brand Manager Matthew Ray, which is published in full on the official Game Rant website.

"Here at Aspyr, we believe in additions, not revisions. It's all about respecting the original art direction while taking advantage of modern technology to improve the experience. Every visual enhancement - whether it's improved textures, refined lighting, or updated character models - is designed to amplify the immersive atmosphere that Core Design originally envisioned." Matthew Ray tells Game Rant.

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered is scheduled to launch in February 2025 and will feature revamped visuals that enhance the environments, characters, and artefacts, along with the ability to switch seamlessly between classic and modern graphics. Originally developed by Core Design, Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered follows the release of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which launched in February of this year and was 'positively received and performed above management expectations,' according to comments from Embracer Group.
