Tomb Raider Collection 1 releases today on Evercade, a cartridge-based retro gaming platform from Blaze Entertainment. Tomb Raider Collection 1 includes the first three Lara Croft-helmed video-games developed by Core Design, comprising Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II and Tomb Raider III, in their original 32-bit console form.
Developed by Blaze Entertainment, Evercade is a cartridge-based retro gaming platform available on handheld, console and bartop hardware. Video-games for the Evercade ecosystem are released on physical cartridges and come complete with a printed manual. The Evercade ecosystem includes four decades of gaming history comprising over 500 video-games from home console favourites to arcade classics and modern indie retro titles.
Tomb Raider was originally developed by Derbyshire-based studio Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive on 24th of October, 1996. The Lara Croft-helmed video-game series has gone on to become a powerful franchise, spawning eleven mainline entries, three motion picture adaptations starring Academy Award-winning actresses Angelina Jolie and Alicia Vikander, a number of Lara Croft spin-off games, promotional crossovers and a steady stream of merchandise.
