TOMB RAIDER TIMELINE SCORES SHADOWS OF TRUTH
[ 2 March 2024 ]
Tomb Raider Shadows of Truth, a new official Tomb Raider role-playing game in development by Evil Hat Productions, has been added to Tomb Raider Timeline, a visual representation of the history of Tomb Raider. The tabletop RPG is being crowd-funded and will begin playtesting in April of this year.
Tomb Raider Timeline offers direct links to information and assets showcasing the entire Tomb Raider franchise, including mainline video-games, Lara Croft spin-off titles, motion pictures, TV shows and animated series, books and novels, and theme parks from Paramount Pictures. The timeline is in chronological order and spans the 28-year history of the Tomb Raider franchise.
Tomb Raider, starring British archaeologist Lara Croft, was originally developed by Derbyshire-based studio Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive on 24th of October, 1996. An early advertisement for the Lara Croft-helmed adventure has been digitised courtesy of British newspaper Daily Mirror and the British Newspaper Archive in partnership with the British Library.
The mainline Tomb Raider video-game series is now under the aegis of U.S. studio Crystal Dynamics who are developing a new multi-platform Tomb Raider title powered by Unreal Engine 5, with Amazon Games providing full support and publishing the game globally. The as-yet-untitled new Tomb Raider game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft's story in the Tomb Raider series.
