ORIGINAL TOMB RAIDER FILMS REMAIN ON BBC iPLAYER

The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) has renewed the original Tomb Raider motion pictures, based on the video-game series from Core Design and starring Academy Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie, for another year. Both films will remain available to stream on BBC iPlayer in the United Kingdom.

In Lara Croft Tomb Raider, Lara Croft races against time to find an ancient relic before it falls into the wrong hands. Leaving behind her life of luxury, the highly trained adventurer travels to exotic and dangerous locales, where she battles a variety of fantastical creatures in the knowledge that the fate of mankind rests in her hands.

Lara Croft Tomb Raider The Cradle of Life is the globetrotting action sequel in which intrepid archaeologist Lara Croft is recruited by British intelligence to track down mad bioweapons genius Dr Reiss, who holds the orb showing the whereabouts of the mythical Pandora's Box. When he threatens to unleash a deadly plague contained within it, Lara and her marine turned mercenary partner face a race against time to scupper his evil plan.
