IS CRYSTAL DYNAMICS REMAKING THE ORIGINAL TOMB RAIDER?

Is Crystal Dynamics remaking the original Tomb Raider? The newly unveiled logo is reminiscent of the original, the signature artwork celebrating the original Tomb Raider by Brenoch Adams is now the banner for the Tomb Raider series on Steam and the proposed merging of the timelines would be consistent with the Survivor Trilogy reconstructing the origins of Lara Croft.

Then there is the deleted post-credit cinematic from Shadow of the Tomb Raider that shows a letter from Jacqueline Natla propped up on Lara's desk. The cinematic was left in the original game files and promptly patched out shortly after Shadow of the Tomb Raider released on Steam.

What we know for certain is that Crystal Dynamics is currently developing a new multiplatform Tomb Raider title, with Amazon Games providing full support and publishing the game globally. The as-yet-untitled new Tomb Raider game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft's story in the Tomb Raider series.
