TOMB RAIDER HAS SOLD 95 MILLION UNITS WORLDWIDE

The Tomb Raider franchise, comprising 20 Lara Croft-helmed video-games, has sold more than 95 million copies since the first entry was released in 1996, according to new data provided by Amazon Games in their latest press release. In addition, the most recent 'Survivor Trilogy,' comprised of Tomb Raider (2013), Rise of the Tomb Raider (2015), and Shadow of the Tomb Raider (2018), garnered more than 200 'Best of' awards and nominations.

Embracer Group and Amazon Games today announced they have reached an agreement under which Crystal Dynamics will develop a new multiplatform Tomb Raider title, with Amazon Games providing full support and publishing the game globally. The as-yet-untitled new Tomb Raider game is a single-player, narrative-driven adventure that continues Lara Croft's story in the Tomb Raider series.

Crystal Dynamics is an award-winning video-game studio responsible for creating and developing a formidable catalogue of games including Mad Dash Racing, Soul Reaver, Whiplash, Project Snowblind and more recently Marvel's Avengers and Tomb Raider. The studio is currently working on a new Tomb Raider game powered by Unreal Engine 5.
