SCi Entertainment Group received notification on 6 October 2005 that Credit Agricole Cheuvreux International Ltd - an equity brokerage subsidiary of the Calyon group - now has an interest in 12,560,180 ordinary shares representing 17.46 percent of the issued share capital of the Company, up from 15.2.

French video-game publisher Ubisoft - who announced the extension of an equity swap contract with Calyon in January 2005 - has been linked to SCi in a manoeuvre the company said could be part of its defence options against a potential takeover by Electronics Arts.
