FRENCH EQUITY FIRM INCREASES SCi POOL

SCi Entertainment Group today announced it had received notification on 29 September 2005 that Credit Agricole Cheuvreux International Ltd - an equity brokerage subsidiary of the Calyon group - had an interest in 10,964,271 ordinary shares representing 15.2 per cent. of the issued share capital of the Company, up from 14.0% as of September 28th 2005.

French video-game publisher Ubisoft - who announced the extension of an equity swap contract with Calyon in January 2005 - has been linked to SCi in a manoeuvre the company said could be part of its defence options against a potential takeover by Electronics Arts.
