The release
date for Tomb
Raider Legend and Hitman
Blood Money has been shuffled back to 2006,
according to reports floating up on the internet
this morning. Exactly how a game with no release
date can be officially "delayed" is providing
an assiduous challenge for us folks here, but
nevertheless it would appear both Hitman Blood
Money and Tomb Raider Legend will debut early
2006.
Lara
Croft Tomb Raider: The
Angel Of Darkness, Core Design's last foray
with ardent adventurer Lara Croft, weathered a
critical mauling after the product was rushed
out the door only half dressed. SCi would appear
to be taking a more responsible role in planning
a release strategy for Eidos' leading franchise
titles, and one could actually hope to receive
a polished and finished product in 2006.
Tomb
Raider Legend, now under the aegis of Crystal
Dynamics, has whipped up a frenzy of attention
since being showcased at this year's E3
trade show in LA. Most critics have been impressed
with development so far, including a restrung
control system, no doubt to the relief of Tomb
Raider fans and the dismay of joypad vendors.
