TAPS YOUNG VEEP

Twentieth
Century Fox has tapped Paramount exec Alex Young
VP of production. Young, who will report to production
prexy Hutch Parker, has been serving in a similar
capacity at Par. He has been involved in shepherding
projects including Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and
the upcoming Star Trek: Nemesis, The Core, The
Sum of All Fears and Paycheck.
Young
joined Par seven years ago as an assistant to
vice chairman John Goldwyn and has moved up ranks
to creative and production exec slots. Parker
said: "Alex is a remarkable young talent with
an expertise in identifying and developing franchise
pictures. His passion and energy for event films
will be invaluable to the future of 20th Century
Fox. We are thrilled to welcome him to the studio."
