Californian-based games developer Toys for Bob has announced its departure from Soul Reaver publishers Crystal Dynamics and London based Tomb Raider publishers Eidos Interactive after a nine-year tenure. Toys for Bob have developed a series of classic games including the Star Control series, Pandemonium and The Unholy War.

Design Director Paul Reiche said: "Our Company has had great success creating new intellectual property for Crystal with our original titles. Now we are looking for a new publisher that has the resources to build a new hit franchise.

Technology Director Ken Ford added: "It's a great time to start our next big project. Many publishers had great holiday sales and are ready to start up new titles for 2003."
