Real life and on screen father of Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie has told the Sun Times he wants to appear in Paramount Pictures Tomb Raider sequel which is being written at the moment, even though his cameo role in the original portrayed him as deceased.

"I'm like 'Angie, is there something for your dad?'" Jon Voight told the Sun Times. "I was dead through most of the first one, and that was no big deal. I could talk to her from the Great Beyond."

Although most of the cast, including Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, has signed up for the video-game adaptation sequel, Jolie warned producers that unless the script was a marked improvement from the original, which came under fire from critics, she would not return as British archeologist Lara Croft.
