Lawrence
Gordon and TV producing trio Marcy Carsey, Tom
Werner and Caryn Mandabach will receive lifetime
achievement nods at the 13th annual Producers
Guild of America Awards, skedded for March 3 at
the Century Plaza Hotel.
Gordon
will be feted with the David O. Selznick Lifetime
Achievement Award in Theatrical Motion Pictures,
while Carsey, Werner and Mandabach will be handed
the David Susskind Lifetime Achievement Award
in TV. "In honoring Larry, Marcy, Tom and Caryn,
we salute the depth and breadth of their impressive
bodies of work," PGA Award co-chairs Bruce Cohen
and Debra Hill said in a joint statement Wednesday.
"Their many film and television projects through
the years have had a major impact on the cultural
landscape."
Gordon,
a former 20th Century Fox topper and Largo Entertainment
executive, produces through two production banners,
the Gordon Co. (with brother Charles Gordon) and
Lawrence Gordon Prods., which recently produced
K-Pax and Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. Pics produced
by the Gordon Co. include Field of Dreams, Waterworld
and the Die Hard franchise.
Carsey-Werner-Mandabach,
the indie production powerhouse behind such hits
as The Cosby Show, Roseanne and 3rd Rock From
the Sun, has That '70s Show and Grounded for Life
on its production slate. Company's next series,
That '80s Show, - which revolves around a group
of twentysomethings in the decade of greed - preems
Jan. 23 on Fox.
