Lara Croft Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie has paid tribute to the late Walt Disney who would have celebrated his centenary birthday today. Speaking to British radio station Radio 1, the Oscar-winning actress said she was a fan of all the Disney characters, but her favorite was Dumbo the elephant.

"My family says everybody has a favorite Disney movie that says something about you. Maybe Dumbo was always laughed at for the things that were strange about him and eventually was proud of that and that's what made him fly."

To herald the centenary, The Motion Picture Academy will hold a special celebration in Los Angeles chronicling the life and times of Walt Disney.
