Eidos Interactive has announced that Wave Rally for Sony's Playstation II has shipped and will make its commercial debut later this week.

Developed by Opus and built around a strategic partnerships with Kawasaki and Jet Pilot, Wave Rally packs all the thrills and excitement of competitive JET SKIŽ racing as players launch off realistic crashing waves, speed over jump ramps and perform spectacular freestyle tricks. Big waves and big air combined with freestyle fun and competitive racing offer the ultimate water-based fun without actually getting wet.

Features include a specifically designed wave engine for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system that delivers the most realistic waves and dynamic water physics ever seen in a video game, spectacular marine courses from around the world complete with shortcuts, jump ramps, and variable weather and wave effects and 6 different modes of play including Freestyle, Arcade, Time Attack, and Multiplayer.
