BARBICAN TO HOST
VIDEOGAME EXHIBITION

The Barbican
Gallery in London is to host an exhibition dedicated
to computer games. Game On will explore 40 years
history of gaming, from the primitive computers
of the early 1960s to the present. The event will
run from May 16 to September 15, 2002.
The
curators say the exhibition will identify key
individuals and the crucial technological developments.
There will be special spotlights on Computer Space,
regarded as the very first game, and more recent
titles such as Tomb Raider and The Sims.
