Lara
Croft Tomb Raider has shot straight to the top
of the Canadian rental charts with America's Sweethearts
and Legally Blonde trailing the Angelina Jolie
action flick. The chart, compiled by the Canadian
Press Association, ledges the top rental videos
or DVD's each week.
Paramount
Pictures silver-screen adaptation of Core Designs
best-selling videogame Tomb Raider chronicles
the adventures of Lara Croft in a fearless search
for the Clock of Ages, an ancient time-traveling
device capable of mass destruction. Lara Croft
Tomb Raider made the transition from silver to
small screen last week when DVD and VHS copies
hit stores across the U.S. The movie makes its
European commercial debut November 26.
