The BAFTA Interactive Entertainment awards are proving a happy hunting ground for Eidos and it’s popular range titles. Following on from last years awards ceremony where both Deus Ex and Sydney 2000 won awards for Best PC Game and Best Sports game respectively, Championship Manager 00/01 has won the inaugural Amazon.co.uk Audience Award.

The glittering ceremony held last week saw Eidos take the only award that is NOT voted for by the BAFTA jury. Instead, the public voted for the award through Amazon’s UK site - and the most popular football manager game came out on top.

Developed by Sports Interactive, Championship Manager has consistently been one of the biggest selling PC games and the newest version, Season 01/02 recently become the fastest selling PC game of all time, beating the previous record held by - you guessed it - Championship Manager 3!
