This
is something of a first for mobile owners - it’s
the only time you’d want a Thief with your phone.
More precisely, a copy of Thief: Constantine’s
Sword, the newest WAP game announced by Eidos.
Based on the characters and locations of the hit
PC game Thief: The Dark Project, Constantine’s
Sword will be compatible with all WAP 1.1 enabled
mobile phones.
Incorporating
elements of puzzle solving and strategy, Constantine’s
Sword sees you once again take on the role of
Garret, a master thief, who is out to steal the
legendary sword from which the game takes it’s
name. There are a staggering 60 levels to play
through in which you must make it through without
detection. The mansion you’re trying to escape
from however it littered with traps, guards and
puzzles to halt and hinder your progress.
As Simon
Protheroe, Eidos’ Technical Director says: "With
our strong catalogue of well established titles
we are ideally positioned to provide content for
WAP services. We are very pleased with iomo’s
interpretation of Thief and believe that it will
further enhance the franchise."
John
Chasey, Managing Director of iomo who are developing
Thief WAP, says: "We are pleased to announce this
release in cooperation with Eidos Interactive.
Once again iomo have been able to combine innovative
and challenging game play with a strong, well
established brand. We believe that high profile
games of this calibre will help to create a truly
mass market of mobile gamers."
