TOMB RAIDER TELEVISION SERIES EXPECTED TO WRAP PRODUCTION THIS SUMMER

Dmitri M. Johnson of Story Kitchen has said that production on the live-action Tomb Raider television series is expected to wrap this summer. Speaking during an interview with GamesBeat, Johnson provided updates on Story Kitchen's upcoming productions, including Life is Strange, the Tomb Raider television series and Sonic 4, and said that 2027 would be "a fun year".

"We start shooting Life is Strange in 6 weeks. We'll wrap Tomb Raider this summer. Sonic 4 wrapped last week. 2027 is going to be a fun year," Johnson told GamesBeat.

Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics announced the live-action Tomb Raider television series in May 2024, with principal photography beginning in January 2026. The series is based on the Tomb Raider video game franchise and stars Sophie Turner as Lara Croft, alongside Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Celia Imrie and Bill Paterson.

The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Crystal Dynamics. Executive producers are Phoebe Waller-Bridge and Jenny Robins for Wells Street Films, Dmitri M. Johnson, Michael Lawrence Goldberg and Timothy I. Stevenson for Story Kitchen, and Michael Scheel for Legendary Television.
