G.I. JOE AND TOMB RAIDER COMIC CROSSOVER REPORTED FOR OCTOBER 2026

Image Comics and Skybound Entertainment are scheduled to publish a G.I. Joe Tomb Raider crossover comic in October 2026, according to a report by Bleeding Cool. The series will be written by Kyle Higgins and illustrated by Elena Casagrande. The report also states that the title is expected to be previewed at San Diego Comic-Con.

According to Bleeding Cool, the G.I. Joe Tomb Raider crossover will not form part of the Energon Universe. Instead, Lara Croft will appear alongside the original G.I. Joe continuity. Image Comics, Skybound Entertainment and the Tomb Raider licence holder have not formally announced the crossover at time of publication.

Lara Croft was last seen in comic book form in Tomb Raider Sacred Artifacts, published by Dark Horse Comics. The story follows the British archaeologist and adventurer on a cross-continental journey exploring tombs and searching for relics, while confronting a mysterious adversary who has acquired a dangerous and familiar artefact.

Dark Horse Comics also recently released Tomb Raider Colossal Collection, Volume 3. The volume collects stories written by Gail Simone and Mariko Tamaki, with artwork by Phillip Sevy, Derlis Santacruz and Ashley A. Woods. It continues Dark Horse Comics' bumper collection of Tomb Raider comic series reprints.
