TOMB RAIDER LEGACY OF ATLANTIS CONCEPT ART SHOWCASES PERU LOCATION

Amazon Game Studios has revealed a new piece of concept art in Episode 2 of its Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis mini-documentary series. The episode features behind-the-scenes discussion with developers from Crystal Dynamics, Flying Wild Hog and actor Alix Wilton Regan. It focuses on the development team's approach to reimagining Peru, the first level of the game, and includes insight into the creative process behind the location's updated design.

Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis is based on the original Tomb Raider, released in 1996 by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive. The game includes revised visuals, updated gameplay mechanics and expanded narrative elements. Built with Unreal Engine 5, the story follows Lara Croft's search for the Scion, an artefact connected to events that take her through the jungles of Peru, the crumbling ruins of Greece, the deserts of Egypt and a mysterious island shrouded in myth.

The title is due to launch on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC on 12 February 2027. Certain editions will provide players with access up to 48 hours ahead of the standard release date.
