ALIX WILTON REGAN BACKS SOPHIE TURNER AS PERFECT LARA CROFT FOR TV

Alix Wilton Regan, who voices Lara Croft in Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider Catalyst, has expressed strong support for Sophie Turner as the character's upcoming on-screen portrayal. Speaking to IGN, Regan described Turner as a natural choice for Lara Croft, praising her talent, presence, and suitability for the iconic British role.

"I actually know Sophie personally, and she will be the most perfect on-camera Lara Croft that you could imagine. She's going to be wonderful. I understand video games. I work predominantly in the video game world, and I've been doing it for such a long time that I just feel really honoured to have been trusted with this iconic British character. And it did need another iconic British actress to take it on for the television series," Regan tells IGN.

"So, Sophie to me is a very natural choice. She also looks like a Grecian goddess, if you've ever met her, and Lara, Lara's hot, guys. So let's have a really hot, really talented, iconic British actress playing it as well. Some people will love my games, some people will hate them. Some people will love the TV show, some people will hate it. That's okay. I think it will be absolutely fine," she concludes.

Sophie Turner portrays Lara Croft in the latest screen adaptation of the Tomb Raider video game franchise. The series, produced by Amazon MGM Studios in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, features an ensemble cast including Sigourney Weaver, Jason Isaacs, Celia Imrie, and Bill Paterson. Alix Wilton Regan will next be heard in Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis and Tomb Raider Catalyst. Both titles are being developed using Unreal Engine 5 and are slated for release in 2026 and 2027, respectively, for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC.
