TOMB RAIDER SOCIAL UPDATED TO MASTODON 4.5.9 WITH NEW IMPROVEMENTS

Tomb Raider Social has been updated to Mastodon 4.5.9. This latest release introduces important security improvements, most notably strengthening the verification process for email addresses, where validation was previously insufficient. In addition, dependencies have been updated to incorporate the latest security patches and general stability enhancements. A small but notable addition has also been made to the setup process, with a trademark warning now included in the mastodon:setup task to provide clearer guidance during installation.

The release also resolves several functional issues affecting user experience and data consistency. The definition of quote within the JSON-LD context has been corrected to ensure accurate representation, and an issue that prevented users from disabling sound notifications for quote updates has been fixed. Furthermore, a flaw that allowed users to quote accounts they had blocked has been addressed, restoring the expected behaviour of block functionality.

Tomb Raider Social offers a dedicated space for fans of the Tomb Raider series to connect, share content, and engage in creative discussion. Unlike traditional social media, it operates on a decentralised, open-source model, allowing independent servers to set their own rules and manage their communities. The platform emphasises user autonomy, privacy, and community moderation, providing a chronological, advert-free experience without algorithmic interference.
